I bought this online just last week, I was really excited when I saw it online, because I was previously using the E2400HD, and really enjoyed that monitor as well. However, the new and improved E2420HD is FAR better, with more to offer and at relatively the same price that the original E2400HD started out with!
The new E2420HD comes with not just one but two HDMI ports, DVI, D-sub, and comes with 4 USB ports. This is extremely useful as it makes the monitor itself a more versatile and entertainment friendly, hence E series for Entertainment I guess?
I definitely enjoy and applaud the brilliant new design on the E2420HD; I give lots of credit to BenQ for the large improvement they’ve made with this update. BenQ has not failed me to this day to provide more for the bang of your buck and yet at the same time compete with competitors on functionality and quality!
This monitor is very sturdy and it feels like one piece. Of course I will not drop test the unit to really see how much it would withstand from a drop, haha, but yeah great build!
Picture quality and color quality is slightly better than the old E2400HD, and once again offering the trademark Full HD 16:9 display with 2 ms response time. This monitor is also Windows 7 Certified, so that is another reason why I picked it, because I will be upgrading my system to Windows 7 soon!
